Training covers shield-based CQB and structure clearing in diverse settings, from tight spaces to open-air environments, ensuring confident, precise operations.

  • Building Clearing for Patrol (8 hours)

    Officers are trained in the fundamentals of Close Quarters Battle (CQB) tailored to patrol building searches. Instruction covers clearing hallways, stairwells, intersections, and rooms during alarm responses, suspect searches, and active threats. Practical exercises focus on effective communication, tactical movement, occupant interaction, and gaining compliance safely and efficiently.

  • Standard Field Sobriety Test Refresher (8 hours)

    Led by experts in DWI and Drug Recognition, this course refreshes active SFST practitioners who completed NHTSA’s 24-hour SFST training. It reviews the three phases of DWI detection, proper test administration, and includes a proficiency demonstration to ensure skill retention and field readiness.

  • Law Enforcement Designated Marksman (32 hours)

    This four-day course builds core precision marksmanship skills including body positioning, breathing, reticle correction, zeroing, and engaging targets at varying distances. Students learn techniques for urban and rural hides, the Truing Process, and environmental impacts on ballistics. The program emphasizes the Designated Marksman/Observer’s role in intelligence gathering, with practical fire exercises and target analysis led by expert instructors.

  • Open Air/Large Crowd Active Shooter Response (8 hours)

    This course trains officers to respond to active threats in open-air, high-density settings. Topics include crowd dynamics, panic behavior, tactical movement through crowds, measured use of force, and rapid stabilization. Ideal for agencies securing stadiums, campuses, and large public events, it provides critical skills to manage and protect high-risk gatherings.

  • Cognitive CQB (8 hours)

    This course develops a decision‑driven approach to structure clearing in CQB environments. Rather than relying solely on instinct, operators are trained to process information, assess evolving stimuli, and solve complex problems under pressure. Cognitive CQB builds the ability to replace reflexive action with deliberate, informed decision‑making—addressing threats as tactical problems without sacrificing speed, precision, or effectiveness.

  • Hostage Rescue (16 hours)

    This course prepares officers to execute one of the most complex and high‑pressure missions in tactical operations. Training covers multiple rescue methods, integration of designated marksmen, and recognition of when negotiations are effective—or when decisive action is required. Participants will gain the knowledge and tools to operate with precision, authority, and adaptability in critical rescue scenarios.

  • White Light Tactics (8 hours)

    Low‑light conditions remain one of the most undertrained yet critical aspects of law enforcement operations. This course provides officers with the tactics and techniques required to operate effectively in low‑light and no‑light environments. Training includes safe and efficient navigation using both handheld flashlights and weapon‑mounted illumination tools, ensuring officers are prepared to dominate the dark with confidence and precision.

  • Civil Disobedience Response (8 hours)

    In today’s climate of frequent protests, unprepared agencies face risks including civil liability, officer safety threats, public security challenges, and property damage. This course provides tested tactics for effective response, addressing First Amendment rights and legal complexities. Led by experts experienced in protest management and federal litigation, it delivers real-world lessons for street-level and courtroom readiness.

  • Vehicle Combatives-Counter Ambush Tactics (8 hours)

    This course covers fundamental vehicle combatives and counter-ambush tactics emphasizing safety during traffic stops and vehicle approaches. Participants will learn to resist extraction, defend within vehicles, and perform controlled exits under duress. Training includes live-fire drills engaging threats from inside and around vehicles, offering realistic, high-pressure skill development.

  • Pistol Mounted Optics (8 hours)

    This course teaches the essentials of shooting with pistol-mounted optics, including stance, grip, draw techniques, trigger control, sight alignment, and recoil management. Students explore optic benefits and limitations, proper mounting and zeroing, and efficient dot acquisition from the holster. Training covers dot tracking, shot calling, target evaluation, and self-assessment, with low- and no-light employment for confident, precise use.

Certifications

  • CQB Instructor Certification (32 hours)

    This course introduces the core principles of vehicle combatives and counter-ambush tactics, with an emphasis on safety and tactical considerations during traffic stops and vehicle approaches. Participants will develop skills to resist extraction, defend effectively while engaged inside a vehicle, and execute controlled exits under duress.

    Practical training includes live-fire exercises focused on engaging threats from within and around vehicles, providing officers with realistic, high-stress experience in one of the most dangerous operational environments.

  • OC Fogger Certification (4 hours)

    Participants will study the physiological and psychological effects of Oleoresin Capsicum (OC), including how to identify signs that require EMS intervention. The course covers proper decontamination methods and precautions to prevent officer contamination. Instruction differentiates between high-capacity extended-range foggers and standard-duty mace, outlining correct application techniques. Additionally, students will learn the tactical role and appropriate use of foggers during crowd control operations, along with understanding their operational limitations.

  • SWAT I and II certifications (each 40 hours)

    SWAT I and II certify newly selected operators to serve as active team members within their agencies. Training encompasses raid planning, high-threat warrant service, barricaded subjects, hostage rescue, less-lethal tactics, chemical munitions, close quarters marksmanship (CQM), and structure clearing (CQB). Additionally, the courses cover the history, operational methods, team structures, and legal considerations critical to tactical team effectiveness.
